Dr. Natalie Baucum: Championing Diversity in Entrepreneurship

Morehouse College recognizes Dr. Natalie Baucum, Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Administration - Marketing, for her recent recognition as an inaugural Faculty Fellow by the Howard University & PNC National Center for Entrepreneurship. Dr. Baucum was honored for her groundbreaking project, "Franchising While Black," which explores the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Black entrepreneurs in the franchising industry.

"Franchising While Black" project highlights the systemic barriers and racial disparities that Black business owners encounter while pursuing franchise ownership. Through her work, Dr. Baucum aims to shed light on these critical issues while providing actionable insights to help aspiring Black entrepreneurs succeed in franchising.

In addition to her Faculty Fellowship, Dr. Baucum has been selected to participate in the 2024 Junior Scholar Workshop, held prior to the prestigious American Marketing Association (AMA) Marketing & Public Policy Conference. This workshop is a significant opportunity for emerging scholars in the field of marketing to collaborate, share research, and engage with leading academics and policymakers.
