Kicking off Q2 strong on Monday, April 1, 2024, President David Thomas led a conversation with entrepreneur-philanthropist Robert F. Smith (Hon. ’19), founder of Vista Equity Partners, at the Atlanta Rotary, where they discussed the benefits of DEI in the workplace and leadership, the impending impacts of generative AI, the exceptional standing of the city of Atlanta as a premier destination for business, as was recently reported by Black Enterprise magazine.
Additionally, in preparation for the fifth anniversary of Smith’s world-stirring, trajectory-shifting gift of clearing the student debt of the Morehouse class of 2019, he sat for an exclusive interview for the upcoming documentary called “The Gift,” executive produced by 2019 alumni Joshua Reed and Emani Rashad, which dives into the current American student debt crisis, while assessing the Morehouse class of 2019 as a case study for what post-undergraduate life can look like without the burden of student debt.
