Morehouse College will host the Morehouse Outreach for Responsible AI in Learning (MORAL) Symposium on April 27–28, 2026, bringing together faculty, staff, students, and administrators from HBCUs to explore the integration of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) tools in higher education.
The symposium is designed to demystify AI, strengthen teaching and learning practices, and create opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and career development in an AI-driven economy through accessible education and engagement with both academic and industry partners.
The MORAL Symposium offers a hands-on experience featuring dynamic keynote speakers and esteemed panelists. Attendees will learn how to use AI to enhance responsible learning and instruction, discover tools to increase efficiency in everyday tasks, and explore AI applications for administrative strategy and impact. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in interactive AI tool workshops, earning digital badges to recognize their participation and accomplishments.
To support broader access, limited student travel awards are available. This symposium marks a key moment for HBCUs to lead conversations around responsible AI adoption, ensuring that the next generation of scholars and administrators is equipped to navigate and shape an increasingly AI-driven academic and professional landscape.
