Three distinguished Morehouse Men are preparing to take the next step in their professional journeys this May as they graduate from one of the nation’s premier dental programs, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Theodore Colbert IV ’22, Jaylon Johnson ’20, and Darrius Southwell ’20 will earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees after completing Tufts’ rigorous four-year curriculum centered on clinical excellence, research, patient care, and community outreach.
Johnson, who serves as Class President for Tufts’ Class of 2026, joins his Morehouse brothers in completing a five-week externship, during which they worked as dentists in community health centers providing compassionate, hands-on care to diverse patient populations.
Their leadership extends beyond the classroom. Colbert and Johnson are members of the Alpha Rho Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., while Southwell is a member of the Pi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., highlighting the brotherhood, service, and excellence that have shaped their Morehouse experience.
As they prepare to graduate, these soon-to-be doctors embody the Morehouse ethos: academic rigor, professional excellence, and a commitment to uplifting communities. Their achievements reflect not only years of disciplined study, but also the values instilled in them at the House, proving once again that Morehouse Men lead in every field they enter.
