Morehouse College continues its legacy of cultivating principled leaders with the election of Christopher Lambry Jr. ’27 and Sheik Kante ’28 as Student Government Association President-Elect and Vice President-Elect for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Their election reflects more than a transition in student leadership. It signals a renewed commitment to the values that have long defined the institution: academic excellence, servant leadership, and a deep responsibility to community.

Lambry, a scholar of politics, has built a reputation as both an intellectual force and a bridge-builder on campus. As an Oprah Winfrey Scholar and a research fellow at Harvard University, he has demonstrated a rare ability to move between rigorous academic spaces and meaningful student engagement. His leadership is grounded in a clear mission, to expand opportunity, particularly for first-generation college students navigating spaces that were not always designed with them in mind. Whether through advocacy, research, or peer mentorship, Lambry embodies a leadership style that is both thoughtful and action-oriented.

Alongside him, Kante brings a complementary energy shaped by experience and innovation. Having served as Freshman Class President, he understands the pulse of the student body and the importance of representation from the very beginning of the Morehouse journey. His work as an intern with the Morehouse Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center has further sharpened his focus on forward-thinking leadership. There, he has contributed to initiatives that equip students with the tools to think creatively, lead boldly, and build solutions that extend beyond the campus gates.

Together, Lambry and Kante represent a dynamic partnership rooted in collaboration and shared purpose. Their leadership arrives at a moment when students are increasingly called to engage complex challenges with clarity, courage, and vision. They step into these roles not only as representatives of their peers but as stewards of a legacy that demands both excellence and impact.

As President-Elect and Vice President-Elect, they carry forward a tradition of student leadership that is deeply intertwined with the broader mission of Morehouse College. Their vision points toward a future where student voices are amplified, innovation is embraced, and every Morehouse Man is empowered to lead a life of consequence.
