The Andrew Young Center for Global Leadership is delighted to announce that Amos Johnson, Ph.D., ’96, has joined the Center as the new Coca Cola Endowed Chair of Leadership Studies. Dr. Johnson, an esteemed associate professor of Computer Science, brings 18 years of experience on the Morehouse College faculty to his new role as director of the Leadership Studies Program.
As director of the Leadership Studies Program, Dr. Johnson shares that his vision “is to build upon the rich tradition of social justice leadership while expanding the scope to include leadership in sectors such as science, technology, social media, and the intelligence community.”
Dr. Johnson’s appointment marks a new chapter in the Andrew Young Center's commitment to fostering leadership across diverse sectors. His extensive background in computer science, his collaborative work with major tech companies, and his initiatives to promote minority careers in the intelligence community position him uniquely to expand the program’s impact.
The Morehouse community is excited to see how Dr. Johnson’s leadership will inspire students to take on influential roles in various fields.
