Winston-Salem State University has announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees, along with the reappointment of two current members.
Joining the board are Todd Collins and Victor Holloway. Bill Miller and Carlos Pauling have been reappointed to continue their service. Each of their terms begin July 1 and runs through June 30, 2029
“Our Board of Trustees is composed of visionary and dedicated leaders who are deeply committed to the transformative power of higher education,” said Chancellor Bonita Brown. “It is both an honor and a joy to welcome our newest trustees and to celebrate the continued service of returning members. Their collective wisdom and unwavering support will be instrumental as we advance the mission of WSSU and chart an ambitious course for the future.”
Todd Collins
Todd Collins is the founder and CEO of Red Hill Ventures, an investment firm headquartered in Charlotte with operations in North Carolina, Texas, Maryland and Washington, DC. The firm operates a commercial real estate portfolio consisting of multi-family, office, retail, industrial and master planned communities. Additionally, Red Hill Ventures owns several operating companies.
Collins’ community engagement experience includes involvement with Atrium Health Foundation (board member); Charlotte Executive Leadership Counsel (member); TowneBank (board member); Good Fellows (board member); Jack and Jill of America, Charlotte Chapter (chair, Father's Auxiliary); and Young President's Organization (regional member engagement chair, state education chair, Big 3 Family Meeting Committee).
He earned a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Morehouse College. He and his wife, Janelle, reside in Charlotte with their three children.
