CSE, a leading talent representation and marketing agency, announced that they have hired NBA player agent Darrell Comer, Jr. '11.
Comer has spent the last 11+ years representing players across the NBA, international leagues and most recently in the NIL space. The hire expands CSE’s capabilities further enhancing what they can offer to current and future clients.
With this talent acquisition, CSE will be enriching their offerings to include basketball player representation, both in the NBA, NBA G League and in FIBA, which is a first for the agency. Along with CSE’s media and coaching representation successes, this new offering gives athletes one place to spend the entirety of their career.
Wendy Newman, CEO of Cooper Holdings says, “The entire Cooper Holdings organization is thrilled to welcome Darrell to the team, his knowledge, experience and tremendous reputation within athlete representation will make CSE an even more prominent agency in the collegiate and professional basketball arena.”
Over the last two years, the landscape of representation has evolved with the introduction of NIL. Comer is connected in the NIL space and will be an asset in growing CSE’s strategic footprint in giving college athletes the resources and connections that will benefit them throughout their career.
“Representing our clients through the full spectrum of their career is not new for CSE, although basketball athlete representation is and our current team is looking forward to working closely with Darrell to continue to build his practice. Our coaching and media divisions are strong and our base of clients are at the top of their game, this new vertical completes the vision for an even stronger CSE”, commented Mark Carmony, President of CSE.
“The decision to join CSE came down to my clients. My main focus and purpose is ensuring my clients have as many advantages as possible to navigate this competitive industry, “ Comer commented. “CSE’s resources in all areas surrounding players (front office executives, coaches, media, and marketing) provide my clients with a rolodex of information that will take their careers to another level. Let’s build.”
Comer joins CSE as the Senior Vice President, Talent Representation. Comer is a Morehouse graduate, member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and attended Georgia State University’s Masters in Sports Administration program.
