Meet Sean Hallers ’28, a freshman pre-cinema, television, and emerging media studies (CTEMS) major from Atlanta, Georgia, with aspirations of becoming a filmmaker. Growing up, Sean was immersed in the Morehouse culture, with his father being an alumnus and regular conversations at home centered around the success stories of notable Morehouse graduates like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Rev. Raphael Warnock. This exposure fueled his desire to follow in their footsteps and make a positive impact on the world.

Sean's passion for storytelling was further influenced by his family’s connection to Spike Lee’s documentary, “Four Little Girls,” in which his great-aunt was featured. This connection to a prominent Morehouse alumnus inspired Sean to pursue a career in filmmaking, where he aims to create impactful stories that address important cultural, environmental, and social issues.

During high school, Sean demonstrated leadership and a commitment to community service, participating in the International Club, the Round Square International Conference, and the Multicultural Club. He also excelled in music, serving as a bass vocalist in his school chorus and church youth choir, and was recognized as the Best Chorus Student for four consecutive years. Additionally, Sean was a sports commentator and broadcaster, bringing his passion for communication to live events.

At Morehouse, Sean plans to join the Glee Club, continue his involvement in community service through the Bonner Program, and immerse himself in film projects that align with his goals. He is eager to develop his debate skills, learn to play musical instruments, and fully engage in campus life while working toward a summer internship in filmmaking. Sean is looking forward to experiencing the vibrant community and rich traditions of Morehouse College, where he hopes to grow into a leader and change-maker.

    Welcome to the House Sean!
