August 15, 2025Written by: Morehouse College
Golden Daka ’20, valedictorian of the Morehouse College Class of 2020, continues to distinguish himself as a global leader and change maker. He recently completed the prestigious Schwarzman Scholars Fellowship in Beijing, China, and has now been named Chief of Staff for Playlist Technologies, a wellness-focused tech company that unites brands such as Mindbody, Booker, and ClassPass under one umbrella.
Daka was selected as a Schwarzman Scholar from over 4,000 applicants worldwide. The program, founded by Stephen A. Schwarzman (Chairman and CEO of Blackstone), brings together exceptional students from over 43 countries for a transformative year of study in global affairs, leadership, and cross-cultural exchange with a focus on China. Daka made history as the first Zambia-born citizen to complete the fellowship.
At Playlist Technologies, Daka will leverage his international experience and consulting expertise—sharpened during his tenure at McKinsey & Company—to lead strategic initiatives and drive organizational growth. Playlist is redefining wellness by powering the brands that deliver fitness, recovery, beauty, and self-care experiences to millions of people worldwide.
Daka’s journey is a shining example of the Morehouse mission in action—developing leaders who are committed to service, excellence, and global impact.
