Getting the Incoming Class Morehouse Ready One Tablet at a Time

    August 5, 2020
On August 4th, with the help of our partners at Microsoft and UPS Foundation, we packed, loaded, and shipped approximately 550 Surface Go 2 tablets for delivery to the incoming class of 2024.

When we first announced the partnership with Microsoft to furnish each member of the incoming class with a Surface Go 2 tablet computer during the MXP Virtual Admitted Students Day in April, we knew it was important to give the newest men of Morehouse the technology to help them get ready for their first year at Morehouse.

What this partnership with Microsoft and UPS symbolizes is an effort to build a bridge over the digital divide that has kept Black and minority students at arm’s length from information technology needed in their collegiate and professional pursuits.

It represents a giant step towards a society in which effort is the only thing that separates students from opportunity.

We’re ready for it. Are you?
