    Maroon Tigers Track and Field Team Wins 2018 SIAC Championship

    The Morehouse College Track and Field team won the 2018 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in Albany, Ga., Saturday, their first conference title since 2015.

    The Maroon Tigers finished with 181 points and had 10 first-place finishes to win the title. John Burns had 12 top-three finishes, while Dobbin Bookman and Dedrick Vanover each had three first-place finishes. The Maroon Tigers had ten first-place finishes overall.

    On Thursday, several Maroon Tigers won All-Conference honors:

    First Team All-SIAC

    Dedrick Vanover – 100 meters; 200 meters

    Collins Kiplimo – 1000 meters; 3000 meter steeplechase

    John Burns – Decathlon

    Second Team All-SIAC

    Montavius Coleman – Hammer Throw
