The A.T. Walden Outstanding Lawyer Award is named after Attorney A.T. Walden, a trailblazing civil rights leader and lawyer. In 1964, Walden became the first Black municipal judge in Georgia since Reconstruction, leaving an indelible mark on the state’s legal history. Miller’s career exemplifies Walden’s enduring legacy of fighting for equality and justice.

After graduating from Morehouse College, Miller earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law. His commitment to service and justice extends beyond the courtroom. Miller is an active member of the Gate City Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and National Bar Association. Also, as a member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., he exemplifies the spirit of brotherhood and community uplift.
