As the academic year comes to a close, the Morehouse College Center for Excellence in Education (MCEE) is ending the semester inspired and filled with gratitude following its annual Senior Lock-In.

Held at The Gathering Spot, the longstanding tradition brought together graduating seniors for an evening centered on reflection, fellowship, and celebration as they prepare to transition from students to leaders and change agents in the world.

The Senior Lock-In serves as a meaningful opportunity for soon-to-be Morehouse Men to pause and reflect on their journeys, express gratitude for the community that has supported them, and embrace the responsibility that comes with the Morehouse legacy. Throughout the evening, students engaged in conversations rooted in purpose, leadership, and impact, themes that continue to define the Morehouse experience.

As part of the program, Ryan Wilson and Cedric Thorbes visited with students to share words of encouragement, wisdom, and practical insight as the seniors prepare for life beyond graduation. Their presence added to an atmosphere of inspiration and affirmation that resonated throughout the evening.

The event also reflected the continued commitment of the Morehouse College Education Department to support, uplift, and prepare future generations of Black educators and leaders.

As another academic year concludes, gatherings like the Senior Lock-In serve as a reminder of the transformative power of mentorship, brotherhood, and intentional community. The future Morehouse Men entering the next chapter of their lives are poised to make meaningful contributions across classrooms, communities, and industries around the world.
