MOREHOUSE COLLEGE TEAM PLACEs 3RD IN THIS YEAR'S "HBCU BATTLE OF THE BRAINS" COMPETITION

Morehouse College's Battle of the Brains Team has won 3rd place in this year's highly competitive HBCU Battle of the Brains competition. The team's outstanding performance not only brought pride to the institution but also secured a substantial $10,000 prize on behalf of the College.
Under the expert guidance of coach Robert Myrick '12, who also mentors the Honda Campus All-Star Team, Morehouse's Battle of the Brains contingent demonstrated exceptional skill, knowledge, and strategic thinking throughout the competition. Myrick's leadership undoubtedly played a pivotal role in the team's success. Individual members of the Morehouse team also garnered recognition for their outstanding contributions.
Jeremy Samuel distinguished himself by winning a prestigious $2,000 scholarship from Dell, while Troy Boxton earned a commendable $5,000 scholarship from eBay. These scholarships not only reward the students' academic excellence but also serve as a testament to their potential to excel in their respective fields.
The presence of several distinguished alums representing sponsoring companies added to the significance of Morehouse's performance. Their feedback further underscored the caliber and professionalism exhibited by the Morehouse students during the competition.
Furthermore, the presence of other finalist schools like Philander Smith, Dillard, Prairie View A&M, and Maryland Eastern Shore highlights the diversity and competitiveness of the HBCU Battle of the Brains competition. These institutions, along with Morehouse, have demonstrated their commitment to academic excellence and innovation, further solidifying the reputation of HBCUs as hubs of intellectual brilliance and ingenuity.
