President Bowman ’92 recently launched Principled Leadership in Action, a presidential speaker series designed to bring transformative leaders to Morehouse for candid and thought-provoking conversations on leadership, moral courage, service, and purposeful impact. The series creates space for the Morehouse community to engage directly with influential voices whose experiences and values inspire meaningful dialogue and action.
The day before Commencement, 2026 Commencement Speaker and NBA All-Star Chris Paul joined Dr. Bowman for an engaging conversation that gave students and attendees a more personal look into his journey and values. During the discussion, Chris reflected on leadership, family, faith, entrepreneurship, and his deep commitment to HBCUs, followed by thoughtful audience questions.
Chris shared his personal story and the challenges he has faced both on and off the court, encouraging students to keep showing up, keep growing, and keep pouring into others along the way. The palpable sense of inspiration filled the packed room of students, alumni, staff, and members of the Morehouse community.
