Class of 2021 Senior Profile: Co-valedictorian Nanya Rishif El

    May 11, 2021

Nanya Rishif El is a graduating Business Administration major with a concentration in marketing from Gary, Indiana, and is also co-valedictorian for the class of 2021. As the recipient of several academic scholarships, Nanya made his mark by leading in the Morehouse Business Association, Career Leadership Institute, Department of Housing and Residential Education, National Society of Leadership and Success, Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, and Douglass Resource Center. Nanya’s next academic feat will be a Master of Business Administration in addition to post-graduation job opportunities that will help build the experiential foundation for pursuing entrepreneurship for himself one day. Building generational wealth for his family is a primary long-term goal for this scholar.

Morehouse exposed Nanya to the depth and breadth of the Black American experience – realizing the diversity of Black Americans and our experiences. “It was great to be a part of a sea of Black men who are all on a positive mission. I felt like I was making a change in the world and constantly evolving due to being surrounded by people who want to see ourselves be the best we could be.”

For prospective men of Morehouse, Nanya suggests considering the College with an open mind. “Accept the new experiences instead of resisting. Embrace Morehouse, and it will embrace you.”
