Class of 2021 Senior Profiles: Kenneth Herbert Moales III

    May 14, 2021

Kenneth Herbert Moales III is a graduating psychology major from Bridgeport, Connecticut with a heart for song and service. He’s been a member of the Morehouse College Glee Club throughout his time on campus and served as president his senior year. Additionally, he is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Psi Chi psychology honors society, and the Chi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. where he served as chaplain. Kenneth will head to Boston after graduation to pursue a Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School.

“I decided on attending Harvard Divinity School because of my commitment to developing my leadership skills, enhancing my intellectual abilities, and equipping myself with the necessary skills and resources to serve the world. I desire to be prepared to preach, teach, and minister effectively to people no matter their present realities.”

While matriculating at Morehouse, Kenneth has overcome failure and the fear of failure.

“If I said I’ve made all the right decisions, I would be lying, but this institution has made it possible for me to learn from my failures and grow from them,” Kenneth said. “I learned that you are not known for how you failed, but more so how you have recovered. This school has taught me how to get up and keep going. Since my first year, I was not as confident in who I was as a Black man, but this institution has encouraged and equipped me to own my blackness and live with no regrets. Morehouse has pushed me to become the leader that I wished to see in the world and become the solution to my problems.”

“A Morehouse Man is builder, not a destroyer. He is a trailblazer – a man who challenges the status quo, breaks barriers, and builds bridges. This is a man who goes into any space and leaves it better than how he found it.”
