October 7, 2026Written by: Morehouse College
The Women Mobilizing for Morehouse initiative to provide vital resources for Morehouse College is building incredible momentum nationwide under the direction of Cynthia Bowman, First Lady of Morehouse College, and the movement’s Founding National Chair, Adrienne Lance Lucas Willis.
She brings her extensive background in communications and marketing and her passion for building grassroots coalitions to the Women Mobilizing for Morehouse Movement.
“Women have always been woven into the fabric of Morehouse—raising Morehouse Men, encouraging their dreams, strengthening their families, and championing their futures,” said Willis. “Now, we have an opportunity to come together as women and invest in an initiative that will shape generations to come. Together, we will raise $1 million to support the Campus Center where students will learn, lead, innovate, connect, and achieve excellence.”
Willis is the Founder and President of Lance Lucas & Associates, LLC, (LLA). A former executive management consultant with over 20 years of experience serving fortune 500 companies, she began her career in her home state of Minnesota as a financial analyst for General Mills, Inc. While there, Willis advanced quickly and gained valuable experience in marketing, sales and corporate finance, and earned a reputation for being an exceptional leader and developer of people, earning a coveted Chairman’s award for customer service.
Upon leaving General Mills, Willis attended the Harvard Business School and earned an MBA. During her matriculation, she took time to make a difference in her surrounding community by becoming a volunteer with a social enterprise called Working Capital.
Willis was formally trained as an executive management consultant at CSC Index during the reengineering business revolution of the mid 1990’s. As a Senior Manager in the financial services and utilities practices, she enjoyed helping clients domestically and abroad compete in newly deregulated environments and restructure lackluster groups into high-performance teams responsible for increased productivity and profitability.
She has enjoyed a rich professional career as a consultant and as an entrepreneur. As Principal & COO of a private equity commercial real estate fund, she helped take the firm from a start-up to over $200 million in managed assets.
In addition to volunteering for Women Mobilizing for Morehouse, Willis also provides fundraising support for Spelman, where she graduated cum laude, and Harvard. She is an active member of Elizabeth Baptist Church (EBC), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and Jack & Jill of America, Inc. Adrienne most recently launched Kid Entrepreneurs Need Opportunities (KENO) Foundation, Inc., the only micro-fund for youth ages 13-25.
