    Morehouse Center for Excellence in Education Hosts “My Brother’s Teacher” Event with ‘Abbott Elementary’ stars

    On September 18th, the Morehouse Center for Excellence in Education hosted an event and discussion called "My Brother's Teacher" featuring panelists including Joyce Abbott, Quinta Brunson's former sixth-grade teacher and inspiration for the TV series "Abbott Elementary" and actor Tyler James Williams. The panel highlighted the importance of personalized and culturally relevant education, emphasizing that teaching goes beyond academic content. They stressed the need for continued motivation and dedication to education equity. Tyler James Williams noted that education is a pathway to access and encourages educators to persist in their efforts.
