    Saxton Moore Jr. '27 Debuts his first book, "Born Driven"

    This book is an uplifting tale celebrating the power of persistence and big dreams based on the true story of the first African-American NASCAR champion Wendell Scott. Like many other boys, Wendell Scott had a big dream: to become a race car driver. Although he faced many difficulties as an African-American boy in the South, Wendell was determined to overcome these obstacles.
