Papa John’s Restaurant Removed from Morehouse Campus

    July 19, 2018

Due to a recent racial slur made by Papa John’s founder John Schnatter, Morehouse College is suspending its campus dining relationship with Papa John's effective immediately. The College is exploring all options concerning removal of the franchise from our campus as a result of this highly offensive behavior.

Members of the Morehouse College executive cabinet agreed that Schnatter’s comments were offensive and were not aligned with the values that we hold as an institution. President David A. Thomas approved a recommendation to remove Papa John’s from Morehouse College.

We are now working with our food services provider, Aramark, and our legal team to find a new vendor for the space.
