    Viral Photo Sparks International Praise for Professor, Student

    A viral photo that shows Morehouse math professor, Dr. Nathan Alexander, holding a student's baby while teaching an algebra lesson has sparked international attention. Alexander, Wayne Hayer, a senior kinesiology major and father of the five-month-old in the photo, and Nick Vaughn, the marketing major who snapped the viral image, have received numerous interview requests and messages about the act of kindness from people around the world.

    Dr. Alexander held the infant so that Hayer could take notes in class. The gesture was met with praise from thousands who saw the Twitter post.

Thomas, President of Morehouse College. “Our students want to thrive, not just survive after graduation. "I commend him, and senior Wayne Hayer, the father of the infant, for showing leadership and service, which is part of the mission of Morehouse College, and an expectation of Morehouse Men."
