Morehouse College men’s basketball continues to build momentum this season, earning HBCU All-Stars NCAA Division II SIAC Team of the Week honors following an undefeated three-game stretch.convert

During the week of January 4 through January 10, the Maroon Tigers went 3-0, securing a home victory over Edward Waters University and back-to-back road wins against Allen University and Benedict College. The strong performances reflect the team’s consistency, depth, and resilience as SIAC play intensifies.

Morehouse opened the week with a 58-53 home win over Edward Waters, followed by an 81-68 road victory at Allen University. The Maroon Tigers capped the stretch with a hard-fought 58-52 win at Benedict College, demonstrating their ability to close games in challenging environments.

The recognition comes as part of the eighth week of honors announced by HBCU All-Stars LLC for the 2025-26 season. The weekly awards spotlight top-performing HBCU programs and student-athletes across the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, and independent institutions nationwide.

HBCU All-Stars LLC is preparing for its 5th annual HBCU All-Star Game, set for April 5 at Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis. The game celebrates the nation’s top Black college basketball talent and provides a national platform for HBCU student-athletes.

In addition to the game, HBCU All-Stars LLC will host the HBCU All-Star Game Experience beginning April 2. The week-long series includes a college admissions fair, pro day combine, awards ceremony, social justice and civic education panel, and community engagement events.

Morehouse’s Team of the Week honor reflects the program’s continued commitment to excellence on the court and its role in advancing the legacy of HBCU athletics on a national stage.
